Synopsis
Singapore stepped into 2024 with a GDP growth forecast of 1.0 to 3.0 percent, compared to 1.1 percent in 2023 and 3.8% in 2022 (Ministry of Trade and Industry). In early 2024, PM Lee also shared that the external environment would be less favorable to Singapore's security and prosperity. Challenges arising from geopolitical uncertainties are expected to remain in the global economy, such as disruptions from escalating conflicts, war and other risks.

While this can affect confidence in the region, and hence Singapore's growth, there are also other factors such as rapid technological process in AI and robotics, which offers good opportunities for businesses.

This session will share the latest economic, labour and wage information to help employers be better prepared for 2025, including changing industry trends and variations arising in wage growth. Local market data collected will be shared including business outlook for 2024/2025.

This session will be facilitated by the SNEF Centre for Labour Information & Analytics (CLIA). Limited seats are available due to the exclusivity of the event.
